Lynn G. Davidson, Vermont Painter

Lynn G. Davidson's paintings are included in private collections across the United States. She won an award of note at the Chester Spring Studio, Chester Springs, PA. Ms. Davidson is a four year graduate of Pennsylvannia Academy of The Fine Arts, Philidelphia, PA. She was born in Philidelphia and reared with her two sisters by her parents and maternal grandmother. Currently, Ms. Davidson resides in northern Vermont, where she is painting scenes of the rugged harsh mountainous areas.

My paintings are done with perception and insight. Some of my themes included churches, native northeastern trees, shrubs, wildflowers and small mountain streams. Surrounding my subjects, I am drawn to the quality of light, time of day and season. While painting outdoors. color is of utmost importance for me to gain control of the subject and atmospheric perspective. My traditional landscapes are completely painted outdoors.
